2021.10.17 13:47 FNDSS Samsung Fridge temperature changing by itself
Hello. I have a samsung fridge with the water and ice dispensers. For 2 days now, the temperature of the fridge (the target temp, so the one you change by pressing one of the buttons) has been changing by itself. It acts as if the button is pressed (the new target temp shows and there is a beep). It does this randomly (so probably not some error code)
Can confirm that the button isn't physically broken, but the day before it started doing this, there were a couple of power cuts in my city.

2021.10.17 13:47 AaLutchman23 Percival's Power
I don't buy Percivals power being that of "Hope" because: 1- He was the one to say it and he is very young and naive so thats the first thing he thought ot 2- His Gramps last words were that Perci was his Hope so he probably took it to heart
I think his Power is that of "Death", (every death around him gives him a power up, maybe the stronger the being that dies the more Power he gets?) I think that because:
1-Well...Knight of Death so yeah 2- Every time he got a power up something or someone died :
Gods finger- Gramps died and his scars healed pretty quick Against Pelgart(idk how to spell his name)- Maybe a delayed reaction from killing his familiar, the Giant Wolf Echo Gorge against Talisker- That one evil fairy died Sistana, Against Ironside- Himself... Cant- Didn't really get a "PowerUp" Demon village- pending RIP Dolochamonte or Elder in Advance😓

2021.10.17 13:47 EasyAndy1 Is there a way to make cities, villages, and castles have more NPCs around?
I had troubles finding any mods that boost the amount of NPCs placed/spawned in settlements. I hate how empty my castle feels even though there are 500 troops stationed there and supposedly a population of serfs. Anyone know of any mods or settings that would remedy this?

2021.10.17 13:47 lukibear1112 Does Slang by Def Leppard count as a Trainwreckord?
I think that this album hits the mark for a Trainwreckords episode. Loss of a member, Shift in style from Glam/Heavy Metal to Grunge. Trend hopping for the sake of it. Basically killed their paper thin momentum. I'm a huge Def Leppard fan, It was the only album by theirs I hadn't listened to, listened to it once and was really taken aback by the difference in sound. Not my cup o tea.

2021.10.17 13:47 Frf20 Sardines are a great college food.
They're healthy, flavorful, rich in protein and other nutrients, and inexpensive. I don't get why broke college students that have no time pick instant ramen over canned sardines with a bowl of rice on the side (or instant rice if you don't have a ricecooker).
It might be one of the reasons why I made it through college fit and healthy while so many other people I know became skinnyfat. Just saying...

2021.10.17 13:47 sacamanos I Finally made it to half year sober
This is by far the longest streak I've ever made since I started drinking 10 years ago, and this is what has worked for me
this pandemic had worsen my condition in a way I was seeing normal to drink whole bottles of booze every day, I wasn't thinking clearly and might have been a long time until I would bottom out, but what it did it for me was to found out a tweet I didn't even remember I wrote while completely drunk, it said "fix your life"
the first thing I did was to think of it like a challenge of purely self control, just avoid drinking for a day, then a week, a month. But what I figured out back then is that's the (almost) easy part, the physical dependence (withdrawal, cravings, anxiety), while the hard part is the psychological dependence which can last from several months to years. Even when your body is full recovered (even your brain), your mind doesn't.
It's hard to explain and non-addicts don't get it at all, it's about how you end up programming your brain (like a conditioned response to alcohol), and after several years, it's really hard to deal with situations where you're predisposed to drink.
It's hard to explain because even if we're trying to think rationally, our brain is tricking us to relapse by the craziest things, and the weird part is that you don't even notice it, you just assume it like it was normal to think those things. I found out all this because I've a friend dealing with an addiction to marijuana (which is one of the drugs that make the strongest psychological dependence) and I always have tried to help him but he's really deep into it, however even though we both talk in a very profound way, he always ends up relapsing and justifying himself by weird and illogical unconnected thoughts, one day I tried to make him realize that he wasn't thinking clearly and that it was a symptom of his addiction, and at that point I realized I fall for the same things but in the booze context.
I don't know, but once I overcame the physical part what made me keep on track was to realize that sometimes my mind is tricking me. think of it this way, while some people could drink a beer and that's the end of it, I cannot even think of myself in the same situation without ending up completely wasted, and that's how I know I'm not recovered, and that it will be a long way until I could say that.
I don't know whats next, I swear not to drink at least for a year, that's the only thing I know for sure, then I will reevaluate myself and probably look for professional help if I don't think my dependence is gonna resolve on it's own, just to lessen the risk if I ever relapse again.
I know it probably sounds like nothing, but changing my perspective work wonders for me, as I said, one part is the self control but that's only half of it.
tl;dr I focus on the psychological aspect of my addiction and it has worked so far. Besides not drinking, the key part to avoid a relapse is to recognize when you're not thinking clearly, and to wait, it's a long way.
